I keep saying that I don't "get" Second Life - and now? I get it. And it was ironic, because even when I didn't get it, I was thinking that I should put FreshPhotography in Second Life and sell photographs there - and it was cool to know I was on the right page when I listened to this!

Self-branding and social media has been on my mind a *lot* lately, so I am so psyched about listening to all of these shows. It is FABULOUS!

Hey CC,

I 've been listening for sometime to Accident Hash, I'm the guitarist in a band called The Embers.

I'm really interested in following the development of 'Managing the Grey' as in my day job I am the eBusiness Manager for one of the Top 5 Direct Insurance Companies here in the UK. Your comments about duality really resonate with me. I also have seen the two converge in the last year.

I was compelled to drop you a comment in my lunch break as I've just spent an hour talking our PR Department through RSS / Blogs / Podcast, how they work and what the opportunites are. It really bought home to me the fairly poor general awareness of Digital Marketing and how great the opportunites are.

One of the PR people I was talking to really got it, and the look of enthusiasm on her face was well worth the effort.

Keep being yourself and the show will be a hit.

Good luck

C.C.
As someone who was more salt than pepper, I originally thought this was about hair coloring. To find out this was about Marketing is even better! Best of luck with the show. I'll be listening.

Hey C.C. congrats on Managing the Gray! I liked it. Thanks so much for listing Inside PR on your sidebar. We figure your endorsement is good for a stack of new subscribers. Looking forward to meeting you at Podcasters Across Borders. How about we do a mash-up interview that we can air on both our podcasts? See you in June...

I appreciate all the kind words in reaction to the first podcast.

As for SecondLife I don't spend much time in there because I don't have the free time either, but the concept of it is something I do fully get. It's like the early day's of chat where it wasn't the prettiest thing, but you knew it would evolve into something bigger and it did. We are just taking baby steps with virtual worlds that 3-5 years from now we'll all look back and laugh at.

CC,
Nice show. I've been listening to ATS and Joseph Jaffe for a while now, funny to hear his promo, then I remembered that you did the cameo appearance on it a while back.

Man, what is it with the interest in Second Life. What is it that I'm not getting? I barely have enough time to get the things done that I want to in my first life, I certainly don't have time for a second; yet I'm almost certain I'm not going to be able to hold out much longer. If I get fired from my first life job for missing work, do you think you might be able to hire me for a job in my second life?

Anyhow, nice job. I'll be sure to keep listening.

C.C.:

Excellent first podcast, and some good ideas to consider for SecondLife. I don't think I'll be able to hold out from trying SL much longer. I'm fascinated by the possibilites.

Looking forward to Show No. 2!

Hey, C.C. Congrats on the launch of the new podcast and thanks for the link to Inside PR. As the newbies on that very short list of "good listens" you've got on your sidebar, we are humbled by the attention. I suppose that's a little uber-Canadian of me...

You know, I thought the exact thing that you mention off the top of your podcast. "Wait a sec...C.C. Chapman...isn't he the music guy?" After your first show, I can't wait for more.

Maybe we can collobarate in the future? I believe I heard that you're going to Kingston. My co-host, Terry Fallis, will be there, so maybe there's a mash-up in the future...They are de rigeur at the moment after all.

All the best,

David

Hey CC,

Loved the first show... some feedback regarding SL:

[1] One of the biggest potential moneymakers in SL that I've discovered so far are competing rates on currency exchanges, as there are more than one. LindeX is definitely not the only game in town - so if you have talent managing currency exchange in First Life, SL should be a bonanza.

[2] There are already a couple of banks in SL - I've been using Ginko Financial. The biggest difference between SL anf FL- there is absolutely no insurance and no financial auditing/oversight, so your money could be there today and gone tomorrow. On the other hand, the APR for deposits is a whopping 38%. High risk, high return.

[3] Penn State has an SL campus. It's located at coordinates 190/34/22.

[4] Finally, I have a great piece of audio to email you :)
