Back in the studio finally to record a show. 206-309-4729 for audio comments or questions.

Today, I spent most of the show answering the question from a listener about my thoughts on marketing to avatars and people in Second Life. It’s a different then what most people are thinking and I hope they start realizing that.

I also spoke about opportunities I think could be both very effective and cost effective. As I’ve said before if you need some Second Life consulting just let me know. I would be happy to help you.

Finally, I briefly described the concept of The Long Tail and told everyone that they must buy the new book from Chris Anderson. I consider it must reading.

Can you add that recorder you use in the show notes? Do you remember how much it is?

In regards to selling in SL:

As I’m sure you’ve heard, an upcoming release of Second Life is supposed to incorporate a Gecko browser like Firefox, making the selling of Real World products to the PEOPLE behind those avatars not only easier, but imperative.

We already know that this bird has wings. Soon we’ll see if it can fly.

Great tip about the Long Tail. I just started reading, and I’m completely hooked. I think about my old ECON classes and how the supply and demand rules were broken because of the difficulty of distribution.

Interesting timing, just had a meeting here about SL. I’m intrigued by the possibilities for recruiting in SL in innovative ways, but not interested in being a part of SL myself, I have enough to keep me busy in my first life.
