[...] After watching that, on a ridiculously busy morning, I felt an inexorable gravitational pull to watch it 3 more times, then look at the image gallery, then watch the “making of” film. Now that is great advertising. (thanks for pointing this out CC) [...]

Gorgeous, gorgeous. I have got to show this around — Mike, I never doubted that creativity in advertising completely disappeared, but I do think really amazingly, eclectic ads are always going to be a rarity and that's just the way it is. (For some reason, on tangent, this brings to mind the Honda "Cog" spot.)

Real paint too. I laughed when that clown ran across the screen, that was unexpected at first, but looking back, it makes so much sense. It all makes you smile!

I love the ad. It really shows that there is some creativity left in advertising. I don't know how many televisions it will sell, but it is certainly grabbing.

Can someone explain the clown to me? Why is he there?

The behind the scenes video is really cool too.

And it's not like Glasgow couldn't do with some colour :)

Check that... it IS real.
"Our latest TV ad - featuring massive paint explosions - took 10 days and 250 people to film. Huge quantities of paint were needed to accomplish this, which had to be delivered in 1 tonne trucks and mixed on-site by 20 people."

Now THAT drives home their message! Color like no other. Brilliant!

It's real. When you go to the site scroll down below the ad and they explain how they did it. Quite cool.
