It IS Different Doing Business IN Second Life

Episode #21 focuses a lot on what I’ve learned in the last couple of weeks while conducting business in Second Life. Sometimes it’s the same and sometimes very different then what you are use to in a traditional real world office building.

I talk about some of the happenings at Crayonville and I also talk about sponsorship opportunities in Second Life and specifically surrounding the launch of my new area on the Dirty sim.

21 minutes of audio content is going to take up space.

I usually receive transcripts 24-72 hours after I post the shows so it will show up at some point.

Regarding the sim limit: Of course you also have limits in Real Life but OTOH there is no hard limit. You can get big rooms for 300 people or even a football stadium if you need it (and can afford it).

But you are right, there are ways around it. If you have lots of money you can simply get more sims (like there have been 12 sims for Relay For Life).
Another way is of course recording it and even Machinima might be an option e.g. if it’s a marketing like event. This will then end up on YouTube and will be what get’s the links.

[...] In the latest episode of Managing the Gray, C.C. Chapman talked about “being an expert”. This is something that comes up often on marketing and public relations Podcasts, and at Podcast conferences. It took listening to C.C. talk about this – again – to inspire me to share my thoughts.
