Thank you C.C. for putting this out there. I've attempted to explain to others that it's more than about creating accounts, it's about doing the work to make those accounts actually connect with people and unless the connections are made and maintained (Zappos comes to mind) then no amount of wishing for your stats to change is going to help.

I think the problem is the story people tell themselves about why they can't or shouldn't do something... they expect too much for little work and jump on these "passive income" bandwagons.. 'ill work two hours a day and make $29394 per day its just ludicrous!

i would like to recommend a book if i may.. its called eat that frog from brian tracy.. it will teach you to take things in small chunks and give you an outline of how to plan the long term and then short term to day to day tasks.. great read

CC

Great post.

I think a lot of this can stem from people not wanting to do the work to truly find a way they are different...find a message...find something they stand for.

The problem is that blogs/podcasts/social media gets so much attention that people think they can put any sort of crap out on a feed and get attention.

Doesn't matter what type of tool you are using. If you're peddling crap, you won't get anywhere.
