I first met David Meerman Scott when he interviewed me for his book The New Rules of Marketing & PR. Since then we have stayed in touch and crossed paths more then once at conferences we were both speaking at. He’s a very smart and laid back guy and I think that is why we hit it off so well.

When I got a chance to read his newest book World Wide Rave, I couldn’t wait to sit down and discuss it with him and that is today’s Managing the Gray. The book doesn’t come out for another month, but until then you can visit the World Wide Rave web site and get the latest information. Last night was the big game. The Super Bowl!

Of course, being a huge football fan I sat down with lots of great food, a beer and watched the game. But, being a marketing person as well means I watch the game as much for the commercials as well. You’ll find plenty of posts today with people talking about their favorite ads. No way I’m going to dedicate a whole show to it, but I did want to share my thoughts as well as update everyone on what’s been going on.
