Hi C.C.,
You said something really simple about ROI and the Long-tail in this podcast that got me thinking. I realize you are speaking mostly to larger companies, but your words are true for the beginner and small business person too. ROI is so important, especially now that money seems all the more scarce, but it does not always have to be immediate and it can pay to take a longer view approach too. There has to be more to it than single quarter results for the start up guy who may not have the resources to take it up to much of a notch anyway. I have a new podcast for people getting started in Internet business, called The Niche Show, and this is something I find so interesting. Social media today allows for some unique opportunities for us to take a longer, minimal cost, path to returns that simply would not have been available in tough times of the past.

Hey C.C.

My project for the year is to write music for my friend Bren's play, "Angleton Grill." Here's how it qualifies for the three s's.

single thing - um, yes.

stretchable - It has to be very blues inspired music, especially for one of the characters. For some reason writing blues and jazz has always intimidated me, part of the reason why I have been avoiding this project.

satisfying - yeah, of course. I have been in a rut of avoiding composing for years, so getting this accomplished would be both satisfying AND inspirational.

Thanks for planting the seed, C.C.!

CC, everybody ready to play but waiting for s.b. to call the game or the rules is a great analogy. You should pursue it further I think (the analogy as well as the "to be named game"). It's about time somebody came up with Social Media's Quidditch.

Ha, I just listened to your show and the fun thing is my Mom wants a Kindle 2 for her birthday next week. I didn't even really know what it was!?!? Anyway, My Project is getting my photography business up and running and I want to thank you again for the chance to test my skills at the Fashion Galla during Fashion Week! I will have a short slide show of it up at the Half Show soon. Also there was a short little shout out by our guest to you on thehalfshow.com we just put up. When you get a chance listen in.
