Priorities
It was late and rainy Monday night at SXSW and after getting a pile of work done I wanted to record a new Managing the Gray so I pulled out my iPhone and recorded this episode. Be warned that I sound wiped out for sure in this, but I hope the message comes through for all of you.
In the end, lots of people will always try to make their priorities be yours, but only YOU can determine what your priorities are. Never forget that and don’t be afraid to let other people know when appropriate.
The artist I mention during the show is Jeremy Steding if you want to find out more.

I haven’t been listening to your podcast for all that long – just a few months. As I listed to your last podcast – about focusing your time – I was compelled to make a comment. I know you create a ton of content, and I haven’t yet left any comments, but I do appreciate your podcasts and your content. I appreciate your heart and passion for marketing. It’s been great to listen and learn from you. I first heard you on the media hacks podcast and have since been listening to yours.
Anyway, thanks for the reminder that our time is valuable. Well, at least my time is and your time is. I wish I could get my professors and staff to see the value of creating content. I mean, they’re all experts in their field, but they have yet to realize that their rants can be pretty valuable to someone.
Keep sharing with us. We’ll keep listening.
